Learn from a Local

Bob MacDonald

As part of our Learn from a Local series, author, science journalist, and host of CBC Radio’s Quirks and Quarks, Bob MacDonald, sat down with Destination Greater Victoria to answer some questions about his life in the city. Bob may be the only Victoria resident with an asteroid named after him and is an appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada. Between 2001 and 2005, Bob completed the triple crown of science communication awards in Canada, receiving the Michael Smith Award for Science Promotion, the Sanford Fleming Medal from the Royal Canadian Institute, and the McNeil Medal for the Public Awareness of Science from the Royal Society of Canada.
